Volunteer work at Mobile School
Are you creative? Do you write well? Are you strong in languages? Do you like administrative work? Research or organisation? Looking for somewhere to express yourself? Then perhaps we are the place where you can put your talents to use.
A volunteer is someone who wishes to use his or her personal knowledge, experience, expertise and time to support and improve our general operation or the realisation of the organisation's objectives, without pay.
Volunteer work is free of obligation. Everyone is free to set the level of their commitment. This flexible way of working is only possible with good and honest communication between volunteers and Mobile School staff. In addition to open communication, honesty and trust are important keywords.
We attach great importance to a good relationship with our volunteers. Each volunteer can count on continuous feedback and support.
We wish to take as much account as possible of the expectations, desires and needs of our volunteers. This is only possible when these are communicated openly and transparently.
Volunteer work is always done in function of the objectives of the Mobile School. Hence, the expectations and needs of volunteers that are not in accordance with these objectives, cannot be taken into account.
Structure of the volunteer work
Two types of volunteer work are possible with the organisation: participation in the volunteer workgroups, or in the form of an internship.
Those wishing to make a commitment can opt for one or more workgroups. These are related to specific activities.
Overview of the various workgroups:
- Research and development educational tools workgroup
- Awareness workgroup
- Media workgroup
- Campaign! workgroup
- Administrative workgroup
- Translation workgroup
- Graphics workgroup
- Research and development workgroup: Education and training
- Consultancy workgroup
